This is a pressure differential hopper often used for hauling limestone slurry. At first glance, this car looks like any other cylindrical hopper. However it has rounded ends that bulge out — it's more like a tank car. It has loading hatches on the top and round outlets on the bottom for unloading (not too clear in this photo taken in Edmonton, September 1999). It apparently uses (air?) pressure for unloading.
This car was built by Procor in 1970.
