In mid-1996, the contract was given to CN, and so was this locomotive. All CP markings were painted out and just the CN road number was added. roams system wide and are not restricted to coal trains. At one point, 5388 or one of her sisters showed up at Taschereau Montreal yards for maintenance and the workers there thought it was truly a CP locomotive sent to them by error. It was routed over to the CP shops at St-Luc who had a good laugh and sent it back.To avoid mistaking it for a CP unit again, the CN noodle was painted below the road numbers on the sides of the cab bought by a dealer and re-sold to CP mid-2000 |
