CN Bombardier HR-616 2112 and a second HR-616 lead a loaded train past the Elmsdale, Nova Scotia (Mile 32.1 Bedford Subdivision) station. The train is hauling gypsum train from a quarry in Milford (mile 38.4 Milford Subdivision). At Windsor Jct. (Mile 15.8 Bedford Subdivision) the train will switch to the Dartmouth Subdivision for the remainder of its trip to the terminal at Wright’s Cove (mile 10.1 Dartmouth Subdivision). At Wright’s Cove the gypsum will be loaded on a ship for export to the US. Depending on demand these trains could make several round trips per day.

The section crew has their motor car parked on the setout track in front of the station. Down at the crossing an RCMP cruiser waits for the train to pass.
