CN SD40-2W No. 5313 leads an eastbound freight on the Halton Subdivision in Milton, Ontario near the location that CN calls Ash on May 21, 1994. Ash is the eastern end of a section of double track between Tanslay and Ash.

No. 5313 was built by GMD in London, Ontario in October 1978, it was owned by Ontario Hydro to provide power for unit coal trains between western Canada and Thunder Bay, Ontario. No. 5313 was retired in 2008 and sold to Diesel Electric Services in Sudbury, Ontario. It was subsequently sold to Johnson Railway Services in August 2015 and then to Curtis Bay Piers in November 2015.

The trailing locomotive is part of a group of retired Union Pacific (nee Missouri Pacific) SD40-2s purchased by CN in 1994. They were temporarily numbered in the 6090 – 6104, 6106 – 6114 number series and placed into service. During 1994 and 1995 they were rebuilt and released as CN Nos. 5354 – 5387.
