On August 25, 1997 CN SD40-2W 5358 leads train #523 into the sunset at Roland, Manitoba after working at the elevator in town. Roland is mile 25.9 on the Miami Subdivision which headed west from Morris on the Letellier Subdivision. Around 2000 this line was sold to a shortline operator. After a short period of operation as a shortline the line was abandoned and the rails were removed.
