CN GP38-2 4958 and 4959 at MacMillan Yard in Vaughan, Ontario October 28, 2025. These two locomotives were part of a group of five EMD-built GP38-2 locomotives acquired by CN from BNSF in 2024. Both of these locomotives were built for the St. Louis – San Francisco Railway, generally known as the Frisco, No. 4958 was built by EMD in August 1973 as No. 408, No. 4959 was in November 1976 as No. 462. Burlington Northern acquired Frisco on November 21, 1980 and No. 408 became BN 2263 and later BNSF 2263; No. 462 became BN and then BNSF 2317. (Anonymous)
