Between 2010 and 2012 CN acquired 77 DASH 8-40C locomotives from Citicorp. Most of them were refurbished and repainted into CN colours before entering service. A handful, such as No. 2021 seen here in Wainwright, Alberta in August 2014, entered service wearing patched Union Pacific paint.
