CN GMD GP38-2 Nos. 200-216, 218, 220-222, 224, 226

Built as road power, reassigned and rebuilt as hump yard locomotives 1978 – 1980. At that time they were renumbered from the 5500 series to the 200 series. Some locomotives were equipped to lead (even numbers), others could work as trail only (odd numbers). They primarily worked in sets of two sandwiching a pair of HBU-4 booster units. They worked on the humps at yards in Moncton, NB, Toronto, ON, Winnipeg, MB and Edmonton, AB. In 1985 these locomotives were renumbered to the 7500 series.
